This part of the website contains a number of pages showing the construction story of my building of an X-air. The project started in Decemebr 1999 and the test flight took place in early 2001.

The photographs below show the first stages of construction and represent the work on the project up until December 1999.

The big boxes have arrived and in the photo on the left my dad and I, and in the photo on the right my father-in-law.

All the contents were unpacked and the work shop floor area cleared ready to start. Along the sides of the workshop you can see a small selection of tubes in the kit as well as part of the tailplane.

Work has started. The first few stages are now complete and you can see thekee l tube with the main support tubes around the cockpit in place.

One week later from the same place the view has changed slightly. The aircraft has now sprouted an undercarriage, something you can see better in the photos below.
