In this page on there are a number of photos and information on the errection of the newest tower in the development of Amateur Radio Station GI0KVQ.

Another summer saw the final installation of the new tower. Replacing the crank up tower this freestanding tower of around 85 feet was installed for use with antennas for the 160 - 30 meter bands. Although it will be some time before all of the antennas are installed the tower must come first.

The bottom section of the tower was modified to use part of it in the foundation framework of the tower. Having the foundation framework of the tower complete it was time to add the concrete.

Finally the day arrived as well as the crane to hoist the tower into place.
